Privacy Policy

WebsiteDoctor believes that strong electronic privacy is crucial. Therefore any information you enter will be known only to you and us. We pledge that we will not release your personal data to anyone else, any 3rd party, without your consent – period.

We don’t like spam and we will never spam, period.

WebsiteDoctor appreciates the value of permission-based email (also known as “opt-in”) whereby companies like us send emails to people who have given their explicit permission to receive that mail.

Email subscriptions
You may change the status of any subscriptions you may have to our newsletters and ezines at any time. Information for doing so is detailed within every email posting.

The WebsiteDoctor blog email subscription is delivered by Feedburner. They have an informative privacy policy on their Feedburner site and they have never spammed us – we don’t believe they will spam you. For more information, check out the Feedburner privacy policy and Google privacy policy.

No information given to 3rd parties
Your contact information may be used occasionally by WebsiteDoctor to notify users of new services, events or the like, but will not be given or sold to third parties.

If we ever do present user information to anyone outside of WebsiteDoctor, it will be in the form of statistical compilations of data from visitors’ browsers and on-site behaviour – this grouped information is used for enhancing our website – e.g. to determine what screen resolution or web browser software our visitors are using. Again – your personal contact information is not ever given to any 3rd party, and we will never spam you.

Our Comments Policy

All comments are moderated for first time commenters. WebsiteDoctor welcome all points of view and will not censor differing opinions – we encourage intelligent and spirited debate, because that’s what blogging is all about!

Comments may be edited or deleted to remove spam, profanity or for legal reasons; where that has been done we will endeavour to leave a note of explanation.

Spam comments
Links are NOT follow enabled – they are all no-follow. Spammy or keyword based usernames will be edited and have links removed, or simply deleted.

Guest Articles

We welcome on-topic articles for publication; however, we do not pay compensation for article submissions. Important: we get a high volume of email — please contact the Editor first via email before submitting any written material. Should we decide to publish a submission, WebsiteDoctor will give attribution to the submitting writer through an article byline or similar designation.

The guest columnist/guest blogger retains ownership of copyrights to written content submitted to WebsiteDoctor as guest columns or guest posts.

Provided attribution is given to the writer, the submitting writer grants WebsiteDoctor the royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display such content (in whole or part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works in any form, media, or technology now known or later developed.

WebsiteDoctor reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to edit user-provided content such as guest posts for grammar, spelling, length and overall readability. We reserve the right to decide whether or not to publish submitted content in our sole discretion.
