Top Five Signs You’re Working Too Hard

by Alastair McDermott · 22 comments

5. You are too busy to attend the FOWA Roadtrip AND OpenCoffee social events.

4. You walk out of the house with 2 different shoes on and don’t notice until you get home.

3. Holiday? “Holiday”. Hmmm… Something to do with religion?

2. You have a realtime chat conversation with someone in Australia and they leave to go to lunch.

1. You write a blog post advertising a conference next week, including the date of the event. You get up at 5.30 am and travel hundreds of miles across the country and arrive exactly 1 week and 15 minutes too early.

Yes, I am an idiot. Feel free to make fun of me in the comments box below…

I actually wear different shoes on purpose sometimes. It can look kind of cool if you pick the shoes right.

I think that the origins of the word “holiday” actually ARE rooted in “holy day”

This is hilarious! I love it! And yes, those are some definite warning signs. Oh the times I’ve said “No, I don’t have TIME to go to sleep right now.”

Sir, you have too much on your mind. Prioritise! It _can_ wait until tomorrow.

Juliana Padron October 11, 2007 at 2:55 am

For some reason, we have a similar problem with our Pinot Grigio harvest each year in Italy. Maybe we are too impatient to have it, so year after year it is harvested too early. I’d bet you had that acid taste when you arrived at the conference 1 week too early!

You didn’t! I do wake up sometimes way to early when I have to go somewhere important, but never a week.
Anyhow, I would love to see this happening to me too, I will burst laughing at myself… :)
